Area(s) of research / Field of interest Main area of research is osteoporosis and bone fractures, with a focus on optimizing their identification and prevention. Katrine leads the CHOICE project and is the principal investigator of the NordForsk-funded grant. Her work centers on developing automated, data-driven prediction models using national health registry data, with a particular focus on implementation in clinical practice.
Background / Experience With a background in Physiotherapy (1999) and a PhD in Epidemiology (2013), she has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers. She serves on the board of the Danish Bone Society and is a member of the Committee of Scientific Advisors at the International Osteoporosis Foundation.

Area(s) of research / Field of interest I work with patient and public involvement in research, and my field of interest is on how we establish ongoing and meaningful collaborations between users and researchers. My role in CHOICE is to plan our different collaborations with public contributors and carry out workshops exploring user perspectives and needs in osteoporosis management.
Background / Experience I am a nurse, and have experience from neurology and palliation. In my previous research, I have explored user perspectives on health data usage for research and investigated how patient and public involvment practices are experienced in Denmark. I also council other researchers on meaningfull involvement practices.
